At the current rate, I will update this site once a year. So I'll have to make it worth it.
Here again is the greatest spanish project known to Astoria High. Si Señor is back,
and this time you don't have to sign up for anything to view it, and the site probably
won't lose all of my files. Also, 10 Green Commandments joins the ranks as an excellent
video made solely for a school project. I stayed up till 3 am over break recording it
with my brothers in Idaho. Green Party for life.

One year anniversary, woohoo! But no updates in several months. Oh well, people are still checking it every now
and then. Maybe now that finals are winding down it'll get updated, I've done
lots in the past couple months, so I guess it's a good time to compile it all.
Paintings, poems and pictures are all waiting to be viewed by those who are really
bored, see ya then.
November 8, 2004
Well Cross Country's over, so that could potentially mean more updates. This may
or may not be the first in a string of them. But hey I kept my semi-promise from last
time, it does have to do with the Danish Maid bakery.
Here is the watercolor I did, took the reference picture at about 6:20 in the morning on
a run. And here is the poem. The poem's still a little
rough, but I just wanted to publish them both tonight, enjoy.
September 23, 2004
School. Running. Those are my excuses. I'll give it you straight: I haven't updated in a few weeks, and there's
a good chance there'll be another couple weeks before I do again. Anyway, this
is what I've done in the past few days. I've got other stuff in progress, but I
won't promise anything, everyone likes a surprise. But it'll probably have something
to do with the Danish Maid Bakery.
September 5, 2004
Another half a month in between updates, but I think it's been worth it. I've
gotten lots accomplished, and realized that there's still lots to get done. For now
I've accomplished this. End of the summer dump of
a few photos that I've got left over from various adventures. Most recent adventure
was Becky & Kelly's birthday party which yielded valuable experience in massage therapy.
I also got the inspiration to start focusing on people as artistic subject matter soon.
Ruby was the source of said inspiration, I'll explain later when it's not 4 in the morning.
Enjoy, keep talking.
August 15, 2004
Sweet, 3 weeks since the last update, or something close to that. Nothing since
New York has been posted I guess, but nothing tangible has really been produced.
Well, not by me anyway. There's
this. I think I made reference to the incident in the past, but I'm too lazy
to look at all that stuff down there. Since New York I've gone to Steens, and as
earlier prognosticated, loved it. Running's going pretty good, and summer's slipping
away. Tons perpetually going on, and hopefully I'll be able to turn it into something
interesting, adios for now though, sleep beckons.
Love ya later.
July 22, 2004
Same thing. I'm not quite as excited about
this one, it was our assignment today to do a SesTINA, but I messed it up, did
something more like a Quatrina. Anyway, this could likely be my last update for
a week or so, gotta leave for a lot of different places in quick succession starting
tomorrow, and it's too bad we have to leave on this not, unless I can remember the
poem that I wrote about Amanda last night...
I have a hot friend named Amanda,
But I'm the only one who thinks so,
Because she looks like a panda.
No she's not black and white,
Or put up a good fight.
She's just fat and furry,
And eats in a hurry.
But I'd put it in her.
THEND
July 21, 2004
Another poem today. I'm getting pretty
good at this daily update thing, guess it's not that hard when all I do all day
is get paid to write, eat, and sleep. If it sounds like I'm bragging, well I
probably am, because it's awesome and I'm gonna milk it for all it's worth while
it lasts, because next week I'll be paying to run on a desert mountain, sleeping
in beat up Vietnam War era tents, get bruised, cut and beaten by all manner of
wilderness. And I'm gonna love it.
July 20, 2004
Maybe a poem a day will be my thing this week if all goes well. Either way, I'm
still in New York, still writing, so here's 2
more poems for ya. Hope you like 'em because there's nothing but more on the way
hopefully I'll have time to take pictures of a few places around here, but those will
not likely get posted until at the earliest, Saturday, and at the latest, the Saturday
after that. That's all for now,
Love ya later.
July 19, 2004
So I'm in New York, writing at Alfred University. The trip up was spent sleeping mostly.
Staying up till 3 to get on the van to the airport gets mixed reviews, on the one hand,
I slept a lot, through all of the annoying people that so frequently populate airplanes.
On the other hand, I'm tired all the time, can never tell what time it is, sleep doesn't come
when it should, always finds me a few hours too late. All is well though, the program's pretty
sweet, and free. Plus it forces me to write stuff like this.
Part of the character development thing we're doing, I chose the guy who, well, you'll see if you read it.
And beside forcing me to write, it's forcing me to meet a bunch of new people, which will give me lots
to write about, which I'm about to do, so adios!
July 13, 2004
Oh yeah, quick extra update. Those pictures
that I promised stories for? They're here. "Planes" and "Fungus" are related, I found them
both on the Cathedral Tree trail, Fungus is relevant because I tasted the dewy looking stuff
on it, because it didn't really look quite like dew, and there wasn't dew anywhere else. Didn't
start hakllucinating, and it didn't even taste weird, just felt kinda weird somehow. As for
"Ducks", that's at Alton Baker park in Eugene, we chased ducks after walking across the surface of
the water and getting our socks or flip-flops only mildly wet. Cool.
July 12, 2004
Well, it's been a month now. That should last me a while for material, some crazy
crazy stuff in these last 4 weeks, and hopefully it'll all get chronicled on the site.
But before I give all the good stuff away, here's some photos
for ya. And another poem for ya.
Let everyone know what you think about them. Otherwise they'll never know. Well, it's
12 o' clock now, so I'll just give a quick synopsis of the last 4 weeks: I was confronted by a flannel-clad
ninja midget, heard in the following in 10 seconds, all directed at me "You know there's a speed limit!", "Fuck you!", "What did they say?",
"You said what? (British accent)", and "Fags!". And yesterday I went on a 3 mile run naked. Good night and sweet dreams.
June 14, 2004
Wow, what a day. Most of the interesting stuff happened around 12-2 this morning.
More on that in a sec, for now, I simply must tell you that there are 2
new paintings up. Discuss if you must.
Now, back to this morning.
Matt, Sean, Zach and I were already well on our way to
one of the best bike rides ever. Hours before we had set off down Pipeline Road in
search of the lesser known Navy Pipeline Road. It was the middle of the night, we
all had flash lights duct-taped to the handle bars, and Zach had another on his helmet.
We rode to the point of exhaustion several times, then realized that we would have to turn
around and backtrack because we had yet again incorrectly taken the obvious left turn that sort of
probably led towards town. The gravel roads in the middle of the woods that were completely
unfamiliar to any of us seemed to twist & turn, dip & rise, forever. Over broken glass,
through dark and mysterious puddles, alongside two gigantic cement cylinders, under powerlines,
around barricades, over barricades, and through the rain. Never in silence, every inch of the night air
around us was disturbed by our steady banter. Until at last, the road flattened, silenced, smoothed
into dimly lit asphalt that seemed the most welcoming road we had ever seen. Again, a barricade slowed
our progress as we took time to analyze and make light of the situation. Rows of houses flew by forever
as we sped down the road under the watchful gaze of the street lamps. At long last it was
realized that we were in Emerald Heights. The complete opposite side of town that we had started at.
We had no choice but to ride back on the highway, headlights bobbing in the rain. We reached Safeway,
bought doughnuts, water, ate free honey, rode the handicap carts, and left.
Soon I'll have some more photos, not of the ride unfortunately, but of the summer,
and possibly the empty house down the street, and probably some other stuff.
Adios.
June 12, 2004
No camera = no update. That's come to be my reasoning lately. I've got 2 more
paintings, and a few more ideas for photos, but that might not happen for a while
so I'll just revert to writing for a spell. Shouldn't have much of a problem with
subject matter, the last few weeks have been pretty packed with stuff. Finals, parties
biking, running, doing as much as I possibly can during the summer so it seems to last
longer, only been 4 days now and it seems like a couple weeks. Yesterday morning
for instance involved diving for a sunken canoe, running to the beach in hot-pink flip flops at
4 in the morning, and skinny dipping in a lake shortly thereafter In the mean time, I'll put up
a few photos I've got lying around.
Ok, here they are. Some good stories behind a
few of them will be posted soon.
May 19, 2004
2 more paintings. First times using acrylic or
canvas. Meteor isn't so great, just messing around mostly, you had to be there. However
I like Rock a bit more, what do you think? I had them up yesterday, honest. Just forgot
to link to it on the front page.
May 17, 2004
3 more poems. And none of them are assignments.
By tomorrow I hope to have a few new paintings up, maybe some incredibly hate filled
comics that my brother and his friend did that are probably not that funny but somehow I
think they could be interesting. Maybe.
April 30, 2004
Huzzah, more photography!.
Not quite as easy as I though it would be to find enough good looking broken glass,
there's still some good stuff out there, but I managed to mess it up even with my handy
LCD screen. Anyway, broken glass looks cool, a nice slight distortion of whatever
they reflect, lots to think about there I guess. Anyway, I'd better stop before
I start writing poetry, enjoy the pictures. Adios.
April 26, 2004
Ok so I had a headache, didn't feel like updating, went to a movie instead.
Here's another poem for ya. It's all
in Spanish, which is something I've wanted to write for a while, it was an
assignment so it's nothing too imaginative, and the grammar is probably
atrocious, but I like the sound of the language, and hopefully you will too.
For now, I'm off to enjoy the sun, gonna paint a mural too, hopefully that turns
out well enough to post. Instead of waiting like all the rest of my rabid fans do
for an update, I suggest you go enjoy the weather too, even if you don't live in
Astoria.
April 25, 2004
Been a while, kind of unfortunate that the more I do, the less time I have
to share it. Well I'm taking a little break from doing stuff to share stuff
check back every couple of hours, I think I've got quite a bit backed up,
and I know I have some more on the way. First are
the pants. Tempura on denim, so I have to keep them away from water, but the
effort required to keep it safe is worth it for the comments I get. I did about
95% of it, there are little patches of other people messing around in there though,
including Bryce, Katie, Charcie & Ann. More stuff soon.
April 11, 2004
Stuff is up. Enjoy, say
stuff about it.
March 28, 2004
First off let me say, I made an error in calculating the space between my last
update, and the one before it. There, glad I got that off my chest. Secondly,
AHHHH!, all three Spanish videos are
up! I'll explain more at great lengths laster, but I really just have to have them
up as soon as possible. So for now, marvel at the glory that is "Si Señor" by
Control Machete.
Hasta lluego.
Hello again. I feel somehow compelled to write something else since those videos
take so long to download and people seem to be having a bit of trouble getting them
at times. Hillary has got some new stuff up.
I've got some new stuff goin on as well, nothing tangible though. Yet. I guess I could
regail you with some of the tales of my spring break, which reminds me to put up
pics from spring break so you don't have to read my malodramatic renditions, you
can instead enjoy this condensed version. It started out alright, then got real bad,
and now I've been finding ways to enjoy it anyway. Pics soon.
March 21, 2004
Howdy, been three weeks already huh? Looks like people have been visiting regardless
of whether or not I've updated, but this is basically to let you know that I plan
to as soon as possible. Been a crazy couple of weeks, but I'd say the ends have
justified the means. Spring break is currently taking stuff over, and I'm having
a wonderful time pretending that it's summer, which has worked surprisingly well,
normally my imagination isn't quite up to that kind of thing, but the summer sun
has warmed the summer wind, which has warmed my summer heart again. This was especially
true yesterday while I was waiting for Jeff and the W to pick me up in Portland, they were
a few hours late, but it was a rockin good time hangin out downtown, the drive up
was pretty sweet too, they tried to scare me by passing around a bottle of Everclear(190 proof),
and later lighting up a bong in the car, but I was wise to their tricks, the Everclear
was water, and the bong was sold for tobacco use only, so that's all that was in it.
And for dinner I had a half gallon of chocolate milk.
March 7, 2004, later that night...
Ok, the Downtown series is up, and
it takes a bit of patience to see all 11 pics, it was a good time, took 49 pics.
Last one nearly got me in a bit of trouble. I was shooting a bunch of staircases
and decided I'd do the one at the courthouse, the one right across from the police
station, 20 minutes after curfew. Long story short, he probably thought I was
some form of terrorist, patted me down for "Guns or anything like that",
told me to head home, and the pic wasn't even that great. Oh well, life goes on.
March 7, 2004
Ok, things are slowing down now so. Here
is my second-latest artistic offering, first painting is now up! The latest are
some pictures from downtown, they'll be here soon. In a few seconds I'll probably
also write more about my 16th bday party.
No peeking until then.
March 6, 2004
Quick! Ninja post! ASAP! PARTY! More story
later!
Before I go picture-hunting, I thought I'd share my most recent fortune cookie.
It is impossible to please everybody. Please yourself first.
Might work for some. Not me, details later.
March 3, 2004
Woohoo, good times. Just finished up the party here. Don't worry if you missed
it, it was just a warmup party to make sure that those that might not be able
to attend the real deal on Friday could still enjoy the 4 day weekend suitably.
My birthday is Friday in case I hadn't mentioned it. Danielle did. A bunch of times.
Each successive class netted a larger card with a more inspiring message on the back.
They definitely got me through a day that was otherwise could have been something
else. The high point was the poster in the lunch room that is now on my wall,
never going to forget this day, just realized that I'll probably think about it
every day now, and that's an excellent way to cap off an excellent day.
February 28, 2004
791 5011....someones cell phone....willes...but hes gone now while
we keep the lookout for Mary to arrive...Jonnie's siting on the couch
beside me rockin' out to cake...Never There...Jason just arrived
along with some subway while cat gazes longingly (subway lover)- at
the moment Charcie is resting on the other loveseat watching me
type relaxing her head on Catwins leg. Right now I'm not even sure
who's here...I think Aaron and Katrina? are downstairs-Wille's in
Lewis+Clark with Kyler and Megan hanging on to the sides of the bed
of his truck while he drives like a crazy wild man, they're there to
pick up J Wil who decided that he woud finally attend the party-Im
typing...obvious...Ian thinking of a plan of how he's going to
accomplish his goal of humping Cat by the end of night...blah...that's
it
That's Katie's description of the party at the moment, I might add more
later, but perhaps her writings are sufficient.
February 28, 2004
Leave it to me to forget something like this. Should have posted it earlier yesterday
but better late than never I suppose. Starting at 3 and going till 11 today at my house
is a movie party, no particular reason, just sounds like a good idea. In the interest
of satisfied customers I've rented the following movies:
Upstairs, VHS: "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" "Mystery Science Theatre 3000"
"Monty Python's The Meaning of Life" & "Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas"
Downstairs, DVD: "Dumb & Dumber" "Superstar" "Jackie Chan in Legend of the Drunken Master"
& "Memento"
So in summation, basically the upstairs is to appeal to a smaller audience, and a smaller TV
they're a bit more obscure, may not appeal to everyone, but definitely enjoyable if you're in the
right mood. Downstairs, being a larger TV, will appeal to a larger audience with a shorter attention
span. Should be something for everyone, and if not, there are plenty of movie free places in the house
to just hang out.
Hasta lluego.
February 27, 2004
Let's see...stuff. The first stuff is this.
In retrospect, not as interesting as I thought it would be, but it's a nice reminder
of the excellent time I had tonight, watched Peter Pan at the Columbian, walked around
downtown afterwards & just had fun in general, walked on docks, watched drunks, flashed
prospective drunks. Next order of business, this thing.
It's a mini-version of this site, just for you to use without all the mess. Go ahead & say
what you want to say, just like I'm doing riiiight now. And lastly, more fortune cookies!
Responsible for what?
He who takes notes listens well. Thanks, I'll take note of that.
February 25, 2004
Huzzah! More poetry!
Huzzah! More pictures!
Huzzah! More life!
Sorry about the overbearing enthusiasm, I'm just trying my damndest to make people
happy again. I will now make another attempt at doing so. Since my fortune cookie
poem was so well recieved, I decided that whenever I recieve a new fortune cookie,
I'll post it, along with my trademark witty remark/rebuttal/continuation. So...
Hello, my name is The Warm, I'd like to make your life happier.
February 22, 2004
Now I've gone & done it. Gotten bold & posted on a whim, it won't happen again
I promise. Without further ado, here is... Mr.
Pretty. It's 2 in the morning so bare with me, no one else did, all flaked out
& didn't stay up til later with me. But it's fine because they've all listened to
me say the same things over & over so I'm grateful. Speaking of grateful, thanks
to Hillary for the super special Zeb-Roller™
pen, without which this update would not have been possible.
February 20-21, 2004
Update's being written halfway between yesterday & tomorrow, not too much to cover
at the moment. Got some new stuff, more
specifically, poetry. Now if you're anything like me, you'll realize that it's a
teenager writing poem & putting it on the web, generally not favorable results. But
there's hope, it's been praised by at least a few people, maybe you will soon join
there ranks. Also, I'm holding some sketches
by Hillary, so check 'em out if you'd like, anime sketches. There are some other
things I'm looking forward to putting up, namely a flash video that's in the works
courtesy of Aaron, and possibly our other first spanish video, which reminds me that
we should get working on our next one soon, it should be quite a sight once if it
ever gets off the ground. Oh also, I forgot to apologize for the quality of the
poetry, I really don't think it's that great, they were assignments, there's more
to come.
Love ya later
February 16, 2004
Ahh President's Day, thank you dead dudes for this day off school. It has allowed
me to throw a party, and update the
site with some other stuff. That other stuff includes pictures & words of
Kelly's birthday. Be very sure to check
out both, wether you went or not. Last night (& part of this morning) was a great time,
only 10 pics for now, hopefully I'll have more soon. Also, swim season is over for me,
both teams are distrtict & league champs.
Go us! Next week track starts, go us!. Now I will go clean the aftermath from the party, adios.
February 11, 2004
Middle of the week update here, very unorthodox considering what's in the last
update, but things have been anything but orthodox with me lately. Anyways I'm
very very very proud to anounce that THE
CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED "BEER, WINE, & PIZZA" IS NOW AVAILABLE. Straight from the
internet machine to your face. Details inside! I might put up pics & anecdotes from
Kelly's party in a bit, but this just had to go up ASAP! Adios & enjoy!
February 6, 2004
Originally, it was my great (idealistic) idea to update this lovely little pitstop
on the information superhighway at the end of every week. That way I would forget
all of the boring stuff that happened during the week and only write the interesting
stuff. Unfortunately I have come to feel a bit guilty not updating it constantly,
especially when my screen name reads "zenzizenzizenzic.8k.com - updated" I just
could not live that lie any longer, I felt compelled to write something, anything.
So now the formal announcement, I'm going to go ahead and update every saturday,
even if it's just to say that nothing happened this week worth reading about. I'll
make exceptions if something particularly interesting happens, I'm going to a party
tomorrow (Happy Birthday Kelly!), so that should result in some interesting writing.
For now I will eat Ben & Jerry's, read Vonnegut, watch Kurosawa, and sleep.
Adios.
February 4, 2004
Here is some of the art I made last semester.
Perhaps I will soon be putting up some new art from Painting, which I am currently
taking. Hmm, I wish there were more to say, I feel like a wasted update if it doesn't
look sizable. If a picture really is worth a thousand words, then this update is
over 11,000 words. Maybe I'll write those words down some day. Maybe saturday...
yeah saturday sounds good for writing, see ya then.
January 30, 2004 (sort of)
They're here, although a little late.
The pictures of DANIELLE DEBOER'S BIRTHDAY!! Ahem, well I wrote a little bit about
the whole charade, read it if you have faith in the possibly mundane, read it if
you don't.
February 2, 2004 (contd. again)
Ok, well I realized that in order to keep people reading and responding to this
site, I should have more stuff to read and respond to. I'm gonna start by putting
up some backlogged stuff, so check it out and I'll try to keep a steady flow coming
in every week.
I'm rather proud of the lake.
I'm not quite as proud of the story.
February 2, 2004 (contd.)
Before I disappear, check these
guys out. One is black, and the other (my brother) wishes he was, and they've got some other people joining them soon possibly maybe there's a chance. Could be funny, I manage
it out of mercy either way. Mostly thought I added this update to fill out the page
I get a great sense of fulfillment seeing the page filled with my own words. So in
conclusion, swimming went well today, and be sure to watch
the team this Thursday at
the aquatic center for the Fish Relays, and next week Friday & Saturday for Districts.
February 2, 2004
Updating sooner than I expected with this. It's a button. Actually I lied, it's two buttons
February 1, 2004
Howdy, as of today (February 1, 2004) I will make a valiant attempt to update
a bit more regularly with all manner of things, you know, all the bad ideas that
I always think, "Man I should put up a site for that," but until now have not had
the cursed resources to do so. More than likely I will try to make it
funny. More likely than that though,
I'll update with mundane details of daily life (Now With Pics!) or other stuff
that I make that I think is clever, like this.
It was an assignment for creative writing, hope you like it.
Adios
January 24, 2004
Winter Ball Pics, I'll explain inside.
